Antelope Creek

A lovely little campground (primitive & remote) on the south fork of Antelope Creek at the edge of the Ishi Wilderness. Good hikes both up & down stream featuring pools, waterfalls, etc. Difficult dirt road. Very hot in summer. Watch for rattlesnakes. Ten miles from Black Rock campground & trailhead to Ishi Wilderness.

From Redding:

South on I-5 to Red Bluff, west on Hwy 36 to Paynes Creek. South on Paynes Creek Rd for 0.3 mile, right on Plum Creek Rd for 8 miles, right on Ponderosa Way (Road 28N29) for 10 miles.
