NOTE: Effective July 1, 2005 all ParaTRAX
must be ADA Certified.
Dial-a-ride transit service
in the greater Red Bluff area. ParaTRAX is a "rideshare" program
which means rides are booked in advance and routed as efficiently as
possible. You will be sharing the bus with other riders which may
lengthen ride times.
Drivers will assist with boarding but are not
allowed to assist passengers to or from their door or to assist with
carry-on items.
The bus will wait 3 minutes
from the time of arrival. Drivers are not allowed to honk the horn,
so you need to be watching for the bus. In most cases, ParaTRAX will
not wait for passengers to reboard the buses. Exceptions may include
prescription or daycare pick-up/drop-off if arranged in advance.
Please cancel reservations as
far in advance as possible. Anyone who fails to cancel a ride in
advance or does not board the bus within the 3-minute wait time is
considered a "No Show".
Three no-shows in a
30-day period will result in a 30-day suspension of service.
Vehicles can not travel on
most gravel or dirt roads, alleys, driveways, private roads, narrow
cul-de-sacs, parking lots, etc.
Advance
Reservations Are Required For Pickup And Return Trips.
Reservations will be accepted up to 1/2
hour prior to the scheduled end of service as described in Hours of
Operation.
One Day (or more) In Advance
A reservation will be given
for the time requested to the extent possible. Reservation times may
be scheduled within one hour before or after the requested time.
Reservations will be accepted up to seven days prior to the day of
service. Subscription service (on-going reservations for repetitive
trips) will be provided on a limited, space-available basis.
Same-Day Reservations (Extra charge)
A reservation will be given
for the earliest time available on a "first-come-first-served"
basis. However, due to limited capacity, it is possible that
service may not be
available.
Pick-Up Time
The bus may arrive up to 15
minutes before or after the scheduled time. For example, if your
scheduled pickup time is 8:00 a.m., the bus may arrive any time
between 7:45 - 8:15 a.m.
Companion Reservations (ADA only)
Reservations for companions
who will accompany an ADA-certified individual will be accepted to
the extent that seating is available. Companions pay the same fare
as the ADA-certified passenger.
